My Education
After graduating high school, I attended the University of Florida where I earned a degree in Elementary Education. Later, during the years I was developing schools, I completed a Masters in Educational Leadership, and earned a Doctor of Education degree from Liberty University. The impetus for my doctoral research was to better understand parenting practices that foster academic success and help children synthesize information in meaningful ways. In addition, having experienced the success of our children’s framework of knowledge, their ability to think critically, and to analyze and synthesize information, the focus of my study was learning theories and parenting. Life and Learning is a place where I share the lessons learned from my research and experience over the past forty years.
