BRIEFLY

I am Dr. Kira Wilson, wife for nearly forty years, mother of three (counting my wonderful daughter-in-law as my own), grandmother of two, educator for more than three decades, administrator of Covenant Academy, and founder of Life and Learning.

This blog was started at the request of parents from Covenant Academy , who highly value the relationship they have with their children, enjoy teaching them at home, and who desire to follow the command of Deuteronomy 6:5-7.  At Life and Learning, you will find inspiration, creative ideas, practical help for training your children to think biblically, and ways to help them succeed academically.  In addition, it covers family life and how learning takes place is the smallest details of the day, in every conversation, and every activity.

My hope, strength and joy, comes from my understanding of the gospel.  Hence, the Lord is my life.  He has set my passions which are expressed in Life and Learning: God, children, parenting, and education.  All are interconnected.  My love for children leads to the importance of them understanding the gospel, which leads to helping parents train and educate with grace and excellence.
