Life and Learning offers parent resources, book reviews, and curriculum critics. Contributors to the review posts may also include parents, teachers, Covenant Academy staff, and other professionals.  For book reviews see Books.  In addition to parent resources,  educational services which include speaking and consulting are available. 

SPEAKING

When speaking, I provide a road-map for training and educating children. While integrating my experience with current educational research and trends, I offer practical ways to apply teaching principles to family life. Specifically, I address the role parents play as models and motivators in their children’s lives. In addition, I discuss topics such as: parent-child interaction, biblical worldview, reading, faith, teaching and parenting styles, curriculum, character development, and life-long learning. Since this information is valuable to teachers and parents alike, the venue for speaking is not limited to parents. Lastly, I am available for national, state, or local events. EDUCATIONAL CONSULTING

One-on-one educational consulting appointments are available for parents, teachers, and students. Topics include curriculum review, educational planning, college planning, learning styles, high yield instructional strategies, purposeful interaction, teaching reading, and other topics based on request. Appointments are conducted by phone or in person if local. Contact me to discuss your specific needs.
